The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, quality management systems, and extensive experience with Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards.
The Food Safety and Quality Manager will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet or exceed regulatory and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
SQF Compliance:
Lead and oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) system.
Ensure that all processes and procedures align with SQF standards and are consistently followed throughout the organization.
Quality Management:
Develop and maintain a robust quality management system to uphold product quality and consistency.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed about changes in food safety regulations and industry best practices.
Work closely with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations.
Training and Development:
Provide training to employees at all levels on food safety and quality best practices.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality consciousness throughout the organization.
Incident Investigation:
Lead investigations into food safety incidents, customer complaints, and non-conformances.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address identified issues.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards.
Experience in implementing and managing a HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) program.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
